Getting Started.

New to Parallax? This guide will walk you through everything step-by-step.

1

Create Your First Set

Cards are what you'll study. Each card has a front (what you see first) and a back (the answer you're trying to recall).

Here's how:

  1. 1.Go to My Sets
  2. 2.Create a private Set for one Subject
  3. 3.Open the Set and add a Card
  4. 4.Review the prompt, answer, and study directions before saving

Tip: Start small. Add just 5-10 cards on your first day.

2

Do Your First Review

After creating cards, they're immediately ready to study. Here's what happens during a review:

  1. You see the front of the card — try to recall the answer in your head
  2. Tap to reveal the answer — compare it to what you thought
  3. Rate how well you did:
Again — Forgot it completely
Hard — Struggled to remember
Good — Got it right
Easy — Instant recall

Be honest! The algorithm learns from your ratings. If you cheat, it can't help you.

3

Come Back Tomorrow

This is where the magic happens. Parallax uses spaced repetition to show you cards just before you'd forget them.

What to expect:

  • Cards you got wrong will appear again soon (same day or next day)
  • Cards you got right will appear later (a few days to weeks)
  • Mastered cards might only appear once a month

The key: Study a little bit every day. 10 minutes daily beats 1 hour once a week.

Where Everything Is

What Success Looks Like

As you study, your cards will progress through these stages:

New→ You just created it
Learning→ You're starting to remember
Growing→ It's sticking in your memory
Mastered→ You know it well!

You can see your progress on the My Sets.
